TASAI Mali Dissemination Workshop

TASAI Inc., in collaboration with the Direction Nationale de l’Agriculture (DNA), convened a workshop to disseminate the findings of the TASAI 2020 Mali Update study and to launch the 2021 TASAI Mali comprehensive study. The meeting was convened in a hybrid format on July 23 with 20 participants attending in person at the Grand Hotel in Bamako and another 26 participants attending virtually. The meeting was officially opened by H.E. Modibo Keita, the Mali Minister for Rural Development. In his remarks, he noted that a vibrant seed sector was critical for the successful implementation of the government’s National Plan for Investment in the Agriculture Sector. The meeting was also attended by key government officials in the seed sector, including the Director of DNA and the Chief of the Mali Seed Laboratory (LABOSEM), as well by the Country Manager for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), and representatives from seed companies and the Association of Seed Producers in Mali (ASSEMA).
